Feghouli looked pretty decent, hard to judge playing a game like that, but I remember Payet looking good pre season at the valley, so we may have another gem on our hands. And my head hurts this morning.

You left at 3-0? What was the final score???

Re: Be sure to check WHO on Wednesday morning
There wasnt much else to add, i left at 3 nil anyway to get to the airport.

It was a bit strange given this was our big US marketing push, the game wasnt picked up by a network, no merchandise and Seattle fans couldnt see the point of the game (or did our players)

We have a decent following over here though, saw plenty of shirts walking around during the afternoon and hearing anerican voices with them.

Re: Be sure to check WHO on Wednesday morning
I didnt get back to VEGAS till 2am.

This sums things up...

Noble, Adrian, Carroll, Reid started... The ball was played around with no conviction, looked like England in all honesty

Carroll had a near death experience midway through the 1st half but seemed ok after.

2nd half... Cresswell came on, we looked 10 yards off the pace and it turned into a once sided game in favour of seattle.

Great stadium, could have a beer at your seat. Sounders fans are a knowledgable bunch and the MLS seems to adopt the German matchday vibe.

Well worth the trip but expected a better show from us but its west ham so there we are

According to that report, Payet was in the starting XI. No wonder we lost, he's still in France!

Cut & paste from Independent

Rookie forward Jordan Morris came off the bench to score two second-half goals and the Seattle Sounders beat West Ham United of the English Premier League in an international exhibition game on Tuesday night 3-0.

Herculez Gomez also scored for the Sounders, converting a penalty kick late in the first half.

Morris' first goal came in the 70th minute, just eight minutes after subbing into the game. He slid into the rebound of a shot by Oalex Anderson and drove it into the back right corner past West Ham reserve goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel.

Just two minutes later, Morris caught up to a long through ball from Joevin Jones and blasted it past Spiegel from the top left corner of the six-yard box.

Morris, drafted out of Stanford after leading the Cardinal to the NCAA championship last fall, is Seattle's leading scorer in MLS play with six goals.

Gomez converted a penalty kick in the 42nd minute. Aaron Kovar sent a through ball into the right side of the box, which Gomez ran onto.

West Ham starting goalkeeper Adrian came off his line to play it, but took down Gomez instead. Gomez drove his spot kick into the back right side, with Adrian going the opposite way.

The teams combined for 35 shots in the free-flowing game: 17 for Seattle (with 10 of those on goal) and 18 for West Ham (six on goal).

The Sounders are struggling in MLS play with a 5-9-2 record that has them tied for last in the Western Conference. They have gotten results in their past three games: a penalty-kick tiebreaker victory against Real Salt Lake in a US Open Cup game last week, and a come-from-behind MLS tie at Toronto last Saturday on goal by Morris, prior to Wednesday's win in the friendly.

West Ham United is coming off a seventh-place Premier League finish, achieved with a club-record 62 points.

The Hammers were without Dimiti Payet, last season's leading scorer with 12 goals (nine in EPL play, three more in the FA Cup). He is still with France in the Euro Championships with a semi-final game against Germany on Thursday.

Seattle did not have Clint Dempsey, who still hasn't returned to MLS action following the United States' fourth-place finish in Copa America.

Both teams substituted liberally after halftime: 10 players for West Ham, and nine for the Sounders.

Seattle Sounders FC: Frei, Fisher, Scott, Alfaro, Remick, Roldan, Sturgis, Ivanschitz, Kovar, Gomez, Anderson.

Subs: Miller, Friberg, Farfan, Morris, Haedo Valdez, Joevin Jones, Mansaray, Mathers, Ockford.

West Ham: Adrian, Byram, Reid, Page, Rice, Makasi, Noble, Payet, Samuelsen, Carroll, Browne.

Subs: Spiegel, Henry, Lanzini, Obiang, Nordtveit, Feghouli, Quina, Martinez, Burke, Cresswell.

Yeah I know... was thinking it as I typed!

Hopefully I've not just jinxed the poor bloke. He was looking lively toward the end of the season and I think he could play a big role if he stays healthy.

I wonder if what Bilic said about him looking after himself better last season hit home a bit?

Re: Be sure to check WHO on Wednesday morning
TBH with Carroll, it's a massive bonus that he's gone almost six full months without any injuries at the moment and is on course to get a full preseason in for the first time since he joined us.

I'm really not bothered by the result given we've only had a couple of days training and they seem to have mostly been doing tourist stuff in the USA so far. Just coming back home with no injuries will do for me.
